I'm here to help you celebrate your family.

I’m Erin, mom to the most dynamic, amazing boys. Our family loves adventuring together, discovering new places, and learning all the things. (Also Pokemon…they really like Pokemon.)

And unless I find someone to take family photos, I’m usually left out of them because I’m the one behind the camera.

I’ve been in your shoes, searching for photographers and hoping that the person I’ve found is able to honor my sons’ personalities and catch some beautiful moments of our crazy family. I know that feeling of worry that comes when your partner doesn’t want their picture taken, your oldest is prone to big feelings, and your youngest is painfully shy.

All the while you just really want a lovely picture of yourself with your family.

That’s why I started Erin Vestal Photography. Families deserve kid-centered photo sessions where they can come as they are, be who they are, and get beautiful photographs where every member of the family is included and celebrated.

Through photographing my own children, I fell in love with the magic of documenting our everyday, ordinary moments in a way that was genuine, authentic, and stunningly gorgeous.

Realizing that I could do the same for other families became my passion.

About Me

I’ve always loved working with kids. Before having my own, I was actually an elementary school teacher (most people can guess this within 15 minutes of meeting me), and before that I was a nanny.

Pia’s in Gulfport – and yes, it’s worth the drive every time!

Our favorite beach

This 100% depends on what we want to do there.

If it’s for a relaxed day at the beach, Madeira Beach or St Pete Beach are almost always our choices because they have great sand for building sandcastles and natural barriers that help the kids keep safe boundaries while out swimming.

If we’re on a mission to find seashells, Sunrise Beach on Treasure Island can’t be beat.

If we’re wanting to find sea creatures, birds, and other wildlife, Fort DeSoto is our top choice.

Our favorite coffee shop

Grove Surf + Coffee is hands down my favorite coffee shop in the area! Plus they have scrumptious treats. Be sure to try their iced toasted coconut latte – it’s amazing!

Our favorite playground

Largo Central Park is the top choice for our family. There’s equipment there to challenge and entertain all ages, and it’s a short walk away from their library.

If we’re out and about wanting somewhere closer to the beaches, the War Veterans Memorial Park has two smaller playgrounds that are also quite lovely. They’re also rarely busy, which is a plus!

Our favorite ice cream shop

Sugar Daddy’s in John’s Pass is hands down our family favorite! And trust me when I say we’ve tried LOTS of places all over St Pete!
